Lightning strike kills two brothers

Two brothers were killed by lightning strike at Gulishakhali village in Amtali upazila of Barguna on Friday afternoon, reports UNB.

The deceased are Sobhan Khan, 35, and Yusuf Khan, 30, sons of Entaz Ali Khan of the area.

Gulishakhali union parishad chairman Nurul Islam said the brothers were returning home by motorcycle from Kekhuani Bazar around 2:00pm and took shelter under a tin-shed house when it started raining. 

"They were killed on the spot a few minutes later after being struck by lightning," Nurul added.

Sobhan was a farmer while his younger brother was a professional motorcycle driver.
