Light to moderate rain may occur at different parts of the country since Wednesday, according to the weather department.

It may rain till Thursday at 32 districts.

A cold wave caused by a cold wind blowing from the Himalayas has been sweeping across the country except Cox's Bazar and Chittagong Hill Tracts and will continue till Monday.

The temperature may rise from Tuesday.
A warning has been issued to this end by the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) and weather department. Farmers have been advised to halt irrigation and stop using fertiliser and pesticides on the land while they have also been advised to harvest up the vegetables and fruits ripe already.

Drains should be dug along farming lands to prevent waterlogging and supports should be arranged for vine plants, the warning added.

"A big cloud is approaching towards Bangladesh via India. The temperature may rise on Friday after the two-day-rain and mercury may dip again after that," meteorologist Monwar Hossain told Prothom Alo.
