Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka ranked the fifth worst in Air Quality Index (AQI) on Monday.

The independent live air-quality index monitor, Air Visual, shows Dhaka’s AQI value as 172 around 9:20am.

Vietnam's Hanoi topped the list with an AQI value of 196 while Afghanistan's Kabul, Thailand's Chiang Mai and India's Delhi stood second, third and fourth in the list of poor air cities with AQI values 185, 185 and 180 respectively.

Earlier, Dhaka topped the worst air city list on 9, 14, 18, 19, 24 and 25 February. It had also ranked the worst on 17 and 23 November, 26 December and 6, 29, 31 January.
