A hilltop lake

Boga Lake is a wonder for tourists. No one exactly knows how the mysterious water body, located 1200 feet above the hills, was created. Located in Ruma upazila of Bandarban district, the lake is surrounded by hills in three sides. The rectangular lake is 8.56 acres in size and its depth is 502 feet. The serene lake is exactly 1,246 above the sea level. Geologists ponder the lake is basically a crater of a dead volcano, which erupted almost 2000 years ago.
