Rohingya crisis to be displayed in photo show

Alliance Française de Dhaka will host a 12-day photography exhibition on Rohingya crisis by renowned photographer Patrick Brown at its La Galerie from Monday.

Internationally-acclaimed Patrick Brown will showcase a collection of photographs taken during the last one year in the exhibition titled 'Exodus', read a press release of AFD on Friday.

The series of frames will highlight the initial influx of Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar to Bangladesh, their resilience, the host community, emergency mitigation measures and international support to them.
Patrick Brown is the recipient of numerous international awards, including the 3P Photographer Award, World Press Award, Picture of The Year Award, New York Photographic Book Award, to name a few.

His works have graced the pages of prestigious publications such as The New Yorker, TIME, Newsweek, Vanity Fair, National Geographic and International Herald Tribune.
UNICEF Bangladesh goodwill ambassador and cricket star Shakib Al Hassan and UNICEF Bangladesh representative Edouard Beigbeder will jointly inaugurate the exhibition at 3:30pm on Monday.

The exhibition, to be hosted by Unicef Bangladesh and Alliance Française de Dhaka, will remain open till 22 December.
It will remain open on Monday-Thursday from 3:00pm to 9:00pm while Friday and Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm and 5:00pm to 8:00pm and the exhibition will remain closed on Sunday.
