The beauty of Hatirjheel, the only navigable lake in the capital city, Dhaka, is fading away. The lake’s water quality has worsened thanks to the lack of purification measures. Sewerage and all types of waste have changed the color of lake’s water. Locals and passersby are worst sufferers due to the foul-smelling water.
