Huawei launches new handset

Chinas tech giant Huawei has launched its latest flagship smartphone of Y series, Huawei Y9 2018, in Bangladesh at an affordable price.

The device comes with four cameras, Huawei FullView display, big battery and three card slots, according to a press release on Tuesday.

Huawei authorities said that this new handset aims at reaching students, youngsters and young professionals. The phone is priced at Tk 19,590.

“Keeping the budget perspective of Bangladeshi customers in mind, Huawei always strives to introduce high end smartphones in the market at affordable prices,” deputy country director of Huawei Consumer Business Group (Bangladesh) Ziauddin Chowdhury said.

The press release of the company also said that interested customers can pre-book the Huawei Y9 2018 by paying BDT 3,000 from 3 April till 7 April by sending an SMS to 6969 by typing HW Y9. Customers who ‘pre-book’ the Huawei Y9 2018 will also get a Huawei Colour Band A1 as a complimentary gift.

The new phone features a Huawei FullView 5.9-inch display which supports 1080x2160 resolution and allows users to easily go through information, have quality gaming experience and watch crystal clear videos.

The phone has a 13MP and 2MP rear camera and 16MP and 2MP front camera which delivers quality photos and selfies with vibrant colours.

Grameenphone subscribers will get 4GB internet data free (with 14 days validity) at buying the phone from the telecom. Customers buying Huawei Y9 2018 will also enjoy a 2-year warranty extension offer for paying additional Tk 400.

From 8 April onwards, the handset along with the offers will be available at Huawei brand shops and listed mobile outlets located in all the 64 districts of the country.
