Three days back, he had said he would soon be able to give us a good news. Tonight the fans got it. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, the most successful captain in Bangladesh's cricketing history, has now tested coronavirus 'negative'.

Mashrafe first tested COVID-19 positive three weeks back. He tested again a few days back but it came 'positive'. But today, he has got the good news.

The Narail-2 MP thanked his fans and well-wisher, "With Allah's mercy and your prayers I have tested negative. Thanks to everyone who prayed for me and showed their concern. I am really grateful to you all."

“However, my wife has been tested positive again despite passing two weeks after being positive for the first time. But she has been doing well. Keep her in your prayers,” Mashrafe added.

Mashrafe’s social media statement also reads that he recovered from COVID-19 by getting treatment at home. He advised all to keep courage and follow the doctor's guideline, adds UNB.

Not just Mashrafe, cricketer Najmul Islam Apu and former Bangladesh opener Nafis Iqbal had also been tested positive for COVID-19, but now both them have recovered.
