Bangladesh’s ODI captain Tamim Iqbal had gone to London on 25 July for medical treatment. He returned home to Bangladesh on Saturday, confirmed BCB’s logistic manager Wasim Khan, speaking to Prothom Alo.
Tamim had been suffering from abdominal pains for a few months. When the pain suddenly exacerbated and the physicians here in Bangladesh failed to diagnose the problem, he decided to go to London for further treatment.
Physicians haven’t treated Tamim yet in London. He underwent several tests there and it will take another 5 or 6 days before the test results are ready. However, Tamim decided to come back home before that and celebrate Eid in Dhaka.
