Hosts Bangladesh qualified for the final of the Walton Deaf T20 Tri-Nation Cricket series eliminating defending champions India by eight wickets at the Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Tuesday.

Bangladesh will play final against Pakistan on Friday, reports UNB.

Holders India was eliminated from the meet without any win as they suffered two consecutive defeats against arch-rivals Pakistan after making a tie with Bangladesh in the league basis matches earlier.

Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 38 runs, defeated their arch-rival and holders India twice by 101 runs and four wickets.

However, Bangladesh will play their remaining league match against finalists Pakistan on Wednesday at the same venue.

India opted to bat first after winning the toss in the day’s match and were all out for 80 runs with Manit Kumar scoring 19 and Shanti 12 runs.

Dwip grabbed three wickets while Setu, Akib and Immi took two wickets each.

In reply, Bangladesh easily reached the target scoring the match-winner after losing two wickets in 13.4 overs.

Captain Shahriar Emon contributed a polished 57 runs off 47 balls featuring three fours and four sixes to be adjudged man of the match while Akib scored the Bangladesh’s 2nd highest 12 runs.
