Mushfiq, Mosaddek send Chittagong top

Mushfiqur Rahim and Mosaddek Hossain plundered 88 runs in 53 balls in the fifth wicket as Chittagong Vikings beat Rajshahi Kings by six wickets to go to the top of the Bangladesh Premier League table on Wednesday.

Batting first, Laurie Evans’ 74 off 56 balls led Kings to 157 for 5 . Christiaan Jonker added 36 in 20 deliveries while Ryan ten Doeschate made 28.

Mushfiq then hit his fourth fifty in five matches to bring the win for the Vikings. He hit an unbeaten 64, studded with six fours and two sixes. Mosaddek was more brutal, his 43 came in 26 balls courtesy of four fours and two sixes.

Mohammad Shahzad made 25 while Najibullah Zadran added 23.

Arafat Sunny claimed three wickets for the Kings, but could not stop the Vikings from sealing the win.
