Two aggressive innings of Sabbir Rahman and Mohammad Nawaz help Sixers post an imposing total of 195 for four in their 20 overs in the 31st match of the Bangladesh Premier League 2019 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday.

Sabbir Rahman, who has recently been included in the Bangladesh squad for New Zealand one day international matches, scored 44 off 29 with the help of four 4s and two 6s.

Sylhet’s Pakistan recruit Moahammad Nawaz was even more aggressive at the other end. He hit 39 off 21 with three 4s and two 6s.

Opener Liton Das (34 off 22) and Afif Hossain (49 off 37) provided them a solid base with an opening stand of 71 in 7.5 overs after the Sixers skipper Alok Kapali won the toss and elected to bat first.

Left arm spinner Taijul Islam was the most successful bowler for Khulna. He picked up three wickets giving away 30 runs in his four overs while Juanid Khan took the other wicket that fell.

In their previous match, Sylhet beat Rajshahi Kings by 76 runs which was their third win of the season. On the other hand, Khulna have played nine matches and managed only two wins.

Khulna won their last match by 21 runs against Sylhet but they are too far from making a step ahead to ensure the play-offs.
