Bangladesh girls beat Bhutan to reach semis

Goals from Mishrat Jahan Moushumi and Sabina Khatun helped Bangladesh beat Bhutan 2-0 in their SAFF Women Championship game on Thursday.

Moushumi broke the deadlock in the 46th minute while Sabina killed the game off in the 86th minute.

The win was enough to see Bangladesh qualify for the semifinals after playing just a game as hosts Nepal also beat Bhutan earlier.

Bangladesh will play Nepal in their next match on 16 March.

Bangladesh Team: Rupna Chakma, Masura Parvin, Shamsunnahar, Akhi Khatun, Sheuli Azim, Mishrat Jahan Moushumi, Maria Manda, Monika Chakma, Sirat Jahan Shopna, Sanjida Akhter (Tohuna Khatun) and Sabina Khatun.
