Taijul strikes in first ball of T20 career

Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam became one of the very few bowlers to take a wicket in his first ever T20 delivery during the Tigers' tri-nation series match on Friday.

Brendan Taylor was the batsman, who gave a catch to Mahmudullah in the first ball of the second over.

Taijul's fellow bowlers have also kept striking and the visiting side are already four wickets down.

At the end of the 9th over, the visitors have 59. Opener Hamilton Masakadza, also their captain, has made 34 off 26 balls thanks to five fours and a six.

Mustafizur Rahman, Mohammad Saifuddin and Mosaddek Hossain have also claimed one wicket each.

Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan opted to bowl first winning the toss. The match has been curtailed to an 18-over affiar as continuous rain delayed the start of the game.
