Bangla TV, Star Sports to air Bangladesh-India football match today

Bangla TV and Star Sports 1, 2, Star Hindi 1, Star Sports HD 1 2 and Star Sports Bangla 1 will telecast live the joint qualification match for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 between Bangladesh and India today, reports UNB.

The match will ne held at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Salt Lake, Kolkata of India on Tuesday.

The match will kick-off at 8:00pm (Bangladesh standard time).

Ahead of the Tuesday match, Bangladeshi booters practised at the Salt Lake Yuba Bharati Training ground in Kolkata Monday afternoon.

Bangladesh currently in the 41st position in AFC and 187th in FIFA rankings while India are in the 18th slot in AFC and 104th in FIFA rankings.

In their 28 meetings since Asian Games 1978, Bangladesh won only two matches against India, in South Asian Federation Games 1991 and 1999. Bangladesh conceded defeat in 15 matches and settled for draw in 11 encounters.

In their last five meets, Bangladesh conceded defeat in three matches against their neighbouring India while the remaining two matches ended in draw.
