Skipper Virat Kohli scored his 27th Test century as India extended their lead further in the first session of the second day of the Kolkata Test on Saturday.

The hosts are on 255 for 4, which means they have a 149-run lead now.

Kohli hit 12 fours to get his century and Ravindra Jadeja is accompanying his captain.

Taijul Islam, who has shown some turn today, has claimed the day's only wicket so far, thanks to an Ebadot Hossain catch that dismissed Ajinkya Rahane, who made 51. The batsman hit seven fours on the way to his fourth consecutive 50+ score.

India closed the day on 174 for 3 after Bangladesh were all out for 106.
