Bangladesh naitonal cricket team’s star player Soumya Sarkar is set to get married on 26 February, reports UNB.

The bride is 19-year-old Prionti Debnath Puja, daughter of Gopal Debnath from Tutpara in Khulna. The briddde's family has been living in Dhaka.

Puja completed her ‘O’ level examination this year from an English medium school in the capital.

The ‘gaye holud’ and marriage programme will be held on 26 February while the reception is scheduled for 28 February at Montu Mia’s ‘Bagan Bari’ near Satkhira town, said Soumya’s father Kishori Mohon Sarkar, a former district education officer of Satkhira.

About 1,500 guests will be invited to the marriage ceremony.

The cricketer has already taken a break from the national team duty for the home series against Zimbabwe starting on 22 February with a one-off Test for his marriage ceremony programme.

Soumya shared an image of himself with his bride on his Facebook profile on Thursday night with the caption ‘coming soon’.
