'39th special BCS circular today'

The Bangladesh Public Service Commissoin (BPSC) will publish the circular for the 39th special Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) today (Sunday).

BPSC chairman Muhammed Sadique disclosed this while addressing a function to mark the founding anniversary of BPSC at its auditorium on Sunday.

Only physicians will be appointed through this BCS.

Sadique said PSC is working to create an enlightened workforce that will change Bangladesh.

Speaking as the chief guest, public administration minister Syed Ashraful Islam said the PSC is playing a significant role.

PSC member Anwar Begum said the PSC syllabus should include 100 marks on the independence and the liberation war.

According to the health ministry, a total of 4,542 assistant surgeons and 250 assistant dental surgeons will be recruited through the 39th special BCS. In total, about 5,000 physicians will be recruited.
