'JSC, JDC results to be of GPA-4 grading from 2020'

Education minister Dipu Moni on Tuesday said that the results of JSC and equivalent examinations would be assessed based on grade point average 4 instead of the existing GPA-5 from the next year.

The education ministry was working on the process, she told journalists at a press conference in the capital's Secretariat.

The conference was held to brief journalists about the upcoming Junior School Secondary Certificate and Junior Dakhil Certificate examinations which are scheduled to be held on 2-13 November.

The minister said that this year a total of 26,61,682 students were expected to take the JSC and JDC examinations in 2,982 centres across the country.
