DU students return to classroom

The authorities of Dhaka University have resumed in-person classes on Sunday after the closure of nearly 18 months due to the coronavirus pandemic, reports UNB.

Different departments and institutes of the university have started taking offline classes from 8:00am on Sunday.

Antika Tabassum, a third-year student of Islamic Studies department, said, “We are excited getting back to the classrooms after a long time.”

Earlier, the academic council in a meeting decided that a semester would end in four months instead of six while the academic year in eight months instead of 12 to cover the academic losses.
