Model UN conference begins at JU

A three-day model United Nations (UN) conference began at Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Thursday.

Jahangirnagar University Model United Nations Association (JUMUNA) organised the conference for the fourth time at Zahir Raihan Auditorium of the university, reports UNB.

Some 300 delegates from around 40 schools, colleges and universities of the country have been participating in the conference.

Overseas participants from different colleges and universities of Nepal and Qatar, along with host Bangladesh, will judge the competitions.

State minister for local government and rural development Mashiur Rahman Ranga inaugurated the conference.

JU vice-chancellor professor Farzana Islam was present as the guest of honour.

The conference will end on 17 February.
