3 detained over JU admission test question leak

Three persons including two students of Jagannath University (JnU) were held Monday as they adopted unfair means for the admission test of Jahangirnagar University (JU) 'C' Unit, reports UNB.

The detainees are Sakib Ul Sadat, a first year student of Physics department and Ashik-E-Atahar Mezbah, a final year student of Political Science department of JnU and Anwar Hossain, a driver of the vehicle which was carrying the duo.

According to JU authorities, the JnU students sold a question paper of 'C' unit admission test at Tk 500,000 to an admission seeker.

The aspirant shared the matter with his 'senior brother' Mabubur Rahman Neel, a master's student of Philosophy department of the university unit.

Neel with some of his friends detained them from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall and handed them over to the JU Proctorial body.

Meanwhile, university proctor Shikder Md Zulkernine said a fraud gang was trying to leak question papers.

"The detainees will be handed over to a mobile court after further interrogation", he said.
