22 to vie for each seat in IU admission test

A total of 48,719 students have submitted their applications for taking part in the admission test for entry into first year honours courses at Islamic University (IU) under 2018-19 academic sessions, reports UNB.

Around 22 students will vie for one seat in the entry test, according to the IU Computer Center.

A total of 1,996students have applied for 240seats under 'A' unit (Theology Faculty) while 21,208 against 1,035 seats under 'B' unit (Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty), 7,147 for 450 seats under 'C' unit (Business Administration Faculty) and18, 368 for 550 seats under 'D' unit (Applied Sciences and Technology faculty), said professor Paresh Chandra Barman, director of IU Computer Centre.

The admission test will start on 4 November and will continue till 7 November, he added.
