PEC, Ebtedayee exams begin today

This year’s Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee examinations for the fifth graders will begin on Sunday, according to UNB.

A total of 27,77,270 students will sit for the exams among which 12,78,000 students are male and 14,98,000 are female.

This time, there will be no MCQ type question in the examination covering total 600 marks for six subjects.

The number of this year’s examinees is 23,472 higher than that of last year.

The two and a half hours tests will start at 10:30am and end at 1:00pm.

Meanwhile, vigilance teams have been formed to inspect the exam activities in all districts like previous year, he said, adding that deputy commissioners, police supers, district primary education officers and upazila nirbahi officers have been directed to maintain the law and order in the exam halls.

The exam schedule for PEC: English on 18 November, Bangla on 19 November, Bangladesh and World Introduction on 20 November, Primary Science on 22 November, Math on 25 November, Religion and Moral Education on 26 November.

The exam schedule for Ebtedayee: English on 18 November, Bangla on 19 November, Bangladesh and World Introduction and Science on 20 November, Arabic on 22 November, Math on 25 November and Quran and Tajbid and Akaid and Fikh on 26 November.
