Cent per cent pass in 4,769 institutions, zero in 43

All examinees from 4,769 educational institutions across Bangladesh cleared the Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations, reports UNB.

Of the institutions, there are 3,042 schools and 1,727 madrasas. The number of schools with 100 per cent pass rate dropped this year by about 500 but seven more madrasas joined the rank compared to last year.

Also, the number of institutions with zero pass rates is 43. It was 59 in the previous year.

The results of this year’s JSC and JDC examinations were published on Monday with an average pass rate of 85.83 per cent.
