IMF organises essay contest for graduate students

International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s quarterly magazine Finance and Development (F&D) has organised an essay competition on means of tackling inequality in the 21st century.

The contest is open to all graduate students worldwide, and those who have graduated from a master’s degree programme or higher in 2018, according to the IMF website.

The essay, titled ‘how can inequality be tackled in the 21st century’ has to be of 1,500 words or less and submitted by 31 January, 2019.

The contestants are asked to submit full name, graduate programme, university affiliation, email address and the essay to [email protected].

The winning essay will be published in a forthcoming edition of F&D magazine in six languages both in print and online--reaching leading policymakers, central bankers, academics, economic practitioners, development experts, journalists and other decision makers around the world, reads the website.
