Ataus Samad Trust scholarships conferred on 5 DU students

A total of five meritorious students of Dhaka University’s Mass Communication and Journalism department on Sunday received Ataus Samad Trust scholarships for their excellent academic results in BSS examinations of 2018, reports UNB.

Besides, journalist Abdul Gaffar Choudhury received 'Ataus Samad Memorial Trust Lifetime Achievement Award' at a program held at Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury auditorium at the Dhaka University.

DU vice-chancellor Md Akhtaruzzaman handed over the award and scholarships among the recipients as the chief guest at a function organised by Mass Communication and Journalism department.

DU MCJ department’s chairman Kaberi Gayen presided over the function.

The recipients of 'AtausSamad Memorial Scholarship' are Istiak Ahmed, Md. Nazmul Hossain, Mostofa Md Tahan, Ishratul Jahan Shova and Tareq al Hasan.
