Students who passed Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE), an IT proficiency test administered by Japan, from Bangladesh in 2018 was accorded a reception at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Ekmattra Entrepreneurs, the public relation partner of this project undertaken by JICA and Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), organised the event titled 'ITEE Passers' Celebration', held at the ‘Japan Day’ tent during the BASIS SoftExpo 2019.

The 50-year-old test usually takes place in April and October every year in eight Asian countries simultaneously.

In two batches, 56 Bangladeshi students passed this examination in 2018, achieving first and third position in March and the first position in October in entire Asia.
