Jahangirnagar University will conduct a special drive against narcotics and illegal students at its residential halls after Eid-ul-Fitr, reports UNB.

Pro vice-chancellor (education) professor Nurul Alam on Wednesday said that drug addicts, dealers and ex-students staying at halls illegally would face legal action.

He said that illegal students must leave halls because their stay after completion of master's degree creates accommodation crisis.

"Activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League and journalists, who have finished their studies, will also be forced to leave the halls," Prof Alam said.
