The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) will likely publish the results of the written examination of the 38th edition of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) tomorrow, Monday.

More than one official of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) confirmed this to Prothom Alo.

The decision of publishing the results may be finalised at a special meeting of BPSC on Monday (1 July). The much-awaited results would be published if the meeting approves the results, informed the BPSC officials.

The written examinations finished on 13 August last year and preliminary exam was held on 29 December, 2017. As many as 389,469 job-seekers applied against 2,024 posts.

Asked about the delay in publishing the results, BPSC chairman Mohammad Sadique said that the delay was caused by a third examiner evaluating the scripts, which has happened for the first time.

Also, the number of posts in the 38th BCS examination is set to increase. The public administration ministry has sent a proposal to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) in this regard.

As per the proposal, 136 more people would be recruited in the 38th BCS.

According to the revised decision, the number of appointees will be increased to 2,160.
