DU admission tests: 39 to vie for each seat

Around 39 students will appear in tests for each seat to get admitted into first year honours courses at Dhaka University (DU) under five units for academic session 2019-20, reports UNB.

The online application process which started on 5 August ended on 27 August.

According to the central admission office of DU, a total of 276,391 candidates have applied against 7,118 seats for the admissions into the university.

A total of 88,970 admission-seekers will vie for 1,795 seats under 'Ka' unit while 45,003 for 2,378 seats under 'Kha' unit, 28,958 for 1,250 seats under 'Ga' unit, 97,464 for 1,560 seats under 'Gha' unit and 15,996 for 135 seats under 'Cha' unit.

The admission test of Ga (C) unit will be held on 13 September while that of 'Cha' (Fine Arts) unit -- general knowledge section on 14 September and the drawing test on 28 September, Ka (A) unit on 20 September, Kha (B) unit on 21 September and Gha (D) unit on 27 September.
