Dental admission test on 1 Nov

The Bachelor of Dental Surgeon (BDS) admission test for the academic session 2019-20 at all private and public dental colleges, units and institutes will be held on 1 November. 

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the one-hour examination will start at 10:00am.

The online application will begin at 12 noon on 25 September and no application will be allowed after 11:59pm on 16 October.

A single applicant has to pay Tk 1,000 through a Teletalk prepaid SIM.

The applicants will have to answer 100 MCQs against 100 marks in the exam. The examination will be divided into four parts – Biology (30 marks), Chemistry (25), Physics (20), English (15) and Bangladesh History and Liberation War (10).

For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted .

Eligibility

Those who passed from science group with physics, chemistry and biology are eligible to sit for the exam.

The applicants must have at least GPA 9 in total in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.

The GPA is lowered to 8 (SSC and HSC) for applicants from all ethnic groups and hilly districts, but none of the applicants who failed to secure at least GPA 3.5 in either of the examinations will not be eligible.

The GPA in biology will have to be at least 3.5, applicable for everyone across the ethnicities and regions.
