Students of Dhaka University (DU) on Sunday again demanded cancellation of seven colleges’ affiliation with the university.

During a human chain on the campus, the students also demanded that the DU authorities cancel the circular of the admission test for 2019-20 academic session of the seven colleges.

The agitating students formed the human chain at the base of anti-terrorism Raju Memorial Sculpture of the TSC at noon.

They said the university authorities are delaying over cancelling the affiliation of the seven colleges.

The students returned to protest after a break as the DU authorities issued the admission circular of the affiliated seven colleges.

Spokesman of the movement Shakil Mia threatened that they will continue their movement until their demand is met.

"The DU authorities formed a committee to resolve the problem but now they’ve issued admission circular. The committee failed to give any solution to this problem," he said.

He demanded immediate cancellation of the affiliation as well as the circular.

The seven affiliated colleges are Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Women's College, Mirpur Government Bangla College and Government Titumir College.
