Missing Sirajganj schoolteacher’s hanging body found

Police recovered a hanging body of a school teacher from Garadaha bridge area in Shahjadpur upazila of Sirajganj on Tuesday, two days after he reportedly went missing, reports UNB.

The deceased is Khandakar Nazrul Islam Babul, 52, son of Khandakar Nazabot Ali of Nolsondha village of Ullapara upazila and a teacher of Makorkola Government Primary School in Shahjadpur upazila.

Nazrul Islam reportedly remained missing since Sunday after leaving his school, said Goljar Hossain, sub-inspector of Shahjadpur police station.

The police recovered the body hanged with the railing of the bridge in the morning, the SI added.

Police also recovered a note from the spot where he reportedly wrote that he committed suicide as he failed to pay his debt.

The body was sent to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the SI said.
