Khaleda will be sent abroad if doctors recommend: Quader

Ruling Bangladesh Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said on Saturday the government will take necessary steps for the treatment of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia as per the jail code, taking the advice of the medical board, reports BSS.

"She has been given medical treatment as per the decision of doctors and the government is not interfering in it... The government will do everything for the proper treatment of Khaleda Zia," he told newsmen after attending the 'chehlam' of his mother late Begum Fazilatunnessa in Noakhali.

Also the road transport and bridges minister, Quader said if the doctors suggest that Khaleda Zia should be sent abroad for treatment, then the government will do it.

Regarding the next general elections, the AL general secretary said the next polls will be held as per constitution. The constitution will show the path how the polls will be held, he added.
