‘Arms trader’ arrested in Satkhira

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) have arrested an alleged arms trader along with a foreign pistol and 12 bullets from Lautara village in Ashashuni upazila of Satkhira, reports news agency UNB.

A RAB team conducted a drive at the village on Sunday evening and arrested Kuddus Fakir, 50, son of Elahi Fakir of the village under Khajra union, said, Ashashuni police station officer-in-charge Mostafizur Rahman.

The OC claimed that Kuddus had long been involved in arms trading and terrorism activities.
