Minor schoolgirl abducted

A written complaint was filed on Saturday following abduction of a schoolgirl from Kochubari Krishnapur village in Thakurgaon sadar upazila on Wednesday.

The victim is a class-VII student of Salandar Girls School in the upazila, reports UNB.

Victim’s Ahida Khatun filed the written complaint with Thakurgaon police station.

According to the complaint, Rinki Islam Robi, 25, son of a certain Siddiq Ali of Singparha village of the upazila, used to tease the girl. Rabi abducted the girl by a motorcycle from in front of a shop near her house on 23 May.

On Saturday noon, Robi threatened the abducted girl’s father Abdul Hamid over mobile phone saying not to do anything in this matter.

He allegedly said if they don’t follow him, he will kill the girl and send to him in a packet.

Local union parishad chairman Mahbub Alam Mukul confirmed the incident, saying that the person named Rabiul Islam Robi abducted the girl.

Sadar police station officer-in-charge Md Abdul Latif Mia said the complaint was received.

Police are trying to find out the girl, he added.
