According to the case statements, the alleged DB men brought a local dairy farm owner, Zamal Hossain, for interrogation to the DB office on 2 June and trapped him for four consecutive days and demanded extortion fee from him.
After failing to grab money from the victim, the supposed law enforcers sent him to the court framing a false robbery case with Fatulla Model police station and set him on remand on 6 June.
Victim’s brother Md Aman filed the case with a court of Narayanganj Judicial Magistrate Mehedi Hasan on Sunday noon.
The case also stated that inspector Giasuddin claimed Tk 500,000 in exchange for the victim’s release and threatened to kill him in shootouts unless the money was paid within 5 June.
The court granted the petition by the plaintiff and ordered to the district’s police super that the case is sent to the court by an officer having an equivalent rank of additional police superintendent after an immediate interrogation process.
The plaintiff filed the case with the court after failing to get any response despite a written complaint to the district’s police super office.
