Bangladeshi teen killed by BSF

A Bangladesh teenager was shot dead by members of India’s Border Security Force (BSF) along Kanthaldangi border in Naogaon early Saturday.

The victim was identified as Ali Hossain, 18, son of Mostak Ali of Beldangi Kathaldangi village.

Locals said BSF troops from Naogaon camp opened fire on a group of cattle traders along the border when they went there to bring cattle around 4:00am, leaving Ali injured.

Later, he succumbed to his injuries when other cattle traders were taking him to a local hospital.

Lt Col Mohammad Hossain, commanding officer of BGB-50 battalion, confirmed the incident.
