Body found floating in Hatirjheel lake

Floating body of an unidentified person was recovered from the Hatirjheel lake in the capital on Saturday morning, police said.

The body of a 45-year-old person was floating in the Kunipara area of the lake, the law enforcement said.

Police suspects the body was there for two or three days.

No wounds were found in the body which was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital by the law enforcement for an autopsy.

Hatijheel police station sub-inspector (SI) Saiful Islam confirmed this to Prothom Alo.
