'Nizami’s appeal hearing to conclude before 15 Dec'

The attorney general, Mahbubey Alam, on Sunday said he hoped the appeal hearing of Jamaat-e-Islami amir Matiur Rahman Nizami would conclude before 15 December, the day when the Supreme Court goes for leave.

The attorney general was talking to newsmen at his office.

“The defence team is now presenting the paperbook and we hope the hearing on the appeal filed by Nizami challenging his death penalty on charge of crimes against humanity will be concluded before 15 December.”
