Robi to collect gas bills

Mobile operator Robi has recently signed an agreement with Jalalabad Gas Transmission and Distribution System Limited (JGTDSL) for gas bill payment services.

Robi’s digital bill payment facility makes it very convenient for the JGTDSL customers to pay their monthly gas bills, reports UNB.

Robi’s chief digital services officer Shihab Ahmad and JGTDSL secretary Mohammed Sirajul Islam signed the agreement recently on behalf of their respective organisations at Gas Bhaban in Sylhet’s Mendibag.

JGTDSL managing director Khalequzzaman was present in the signing programme.

Robi’s bill payment platform “RobiCash” has been integrated with the JGTDSL’s billing system. Hence, monthly gas bills paid through RobiCash will be updated with JGTDSL’s system.

Customers can choose to pay their bills at RobiCash points or Robi walk-in-centres (WICs) or with their own mobile phones.

In case of paying bills from their own mobile phones, customers need to first cash in electronic float (RobiCash) from the nearest WICs or RobiCash points.

Mobile users or RobiCash registered customers will get an automatic SMS regarding their monthly gas bill dues.

Besides, they will also be reminded through SMS prior to the payment deadline in case they forget to pay the dues.

Moreover, once a customer pays the gas bill, s/he will be notified through immediate confirmation SMS of the payment. Hence, Robi mobile gas bill payment system/RobiCash is completely secured and reliable.

Apart from paying the gas bills, customers can also pay water and electricity bills and purchase train tickets either from the RobiCash agents or by using RobiCash through their own mobile phones.
