Jessia wants to pair up with Shakib

Jessia Islam, who represented Bangladesh in the Miss World 2017, has expressed her desire to work alongside Shakib Khan even though Dhallywood is not in her immediate plans.

In a conversation with Prothom Alo, she said Friday, ''I've plans to work in films. And, I want to pair up with Shakib Khan for my first film as he's the best actor now we've in the industry.''

However, Jessia has no rush for registering her name in Dhallywood.

''Several filmmakers have already contacted me. But, I don't want to take any decisions right now as I want to start my career with some projects which will be close to my heart,'' she said.

Jessia watches Shakib's films and some of her favourites are 'Shikari' and 'Nabab', among others.

Film star Shakib Khan has been dominating Dhallywood for around 18 years. He has also earned acclaim for working in Indian Bangla films recently.

Jessia participated in the Miss World 2017 and won the Head to Head Challenge to make a place among top 40 contestants among 120.

Returning home on 19 November, she told Prothom Alo that she would take rest for around a week and later think about her work.
