Oishi, Sumona joint champion of Shera Kontho

Oishi of Sunamganj jointly became champion with Sumona of Dhaka in the Channel-i Shera Kontho-2017, a musical talent hunt, UNB reports.

The grand finale of the 6th session of this championship went on air on Sunday night from the bank of Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand.

Oishi, wife of Dewan Gias Chowdhury, hailing from Badaghat village in Tahirpur upazila of Sunamganj, is a second-year bachelor’s student of Music department of Jagannath University.

Sumana, a resident of Dhaka, jointly became champion of the popular singing reality show of Channel-i'.

Mitali Mukherjee, Rezwana Chowdhury Banya, Samina Chowdhury and Kumar Biswajit judged the performance of the contestants.

The 1st session of Channel-i Shera Kontho was organised in 2008.
