Masakadza, Raza steer Zimbabwe to big total

Half-centuries from Hamilton Masakadza and Sikandar Raza steered Zimbabwe to 290 for six against Sri Lanka in the second one-day international of the tri-nation tournament on Wednesday.

Put into bat first in Dhaka, Masakadza gave Zimbabwe a solid start with his 73-run knock before middle-order batsman Raza added an unbeaten 81 off 67 balls-his second successive ODI fifty.

Asela Gunaratne claimed three wickets for Sri Lanka while fellow paceman Thisara Perera returned bowling figures of 2-43.

The Graeme Cremer-led Zimbabwe lost the opening match of the tournament to hosts Bangladesh by eight wickets on Monday.
