Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim each struck half-centuries as Bangladesh posted a formidable 321-run target for Sri Lanka in the third match of Tri-Nation Series on Friday.

Tamim made 84 runs off 102-ball while Shakib and Mushfiqur scored 67 off 63-ball and 62 off 52-ball respectively steering the hosts to 320 for 7, their sixth highest team total in an innings.

The Tigers were looking for a more imposing total when Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan were batting. The Tamim-Shakib partnership stood at 99 from 86 balls after the 71-run opening partnership of Tamim with Anamul. Anamul struck 35 off 37 balls.

After Tamim, the partnership between Shakib and Mushfiqur added 57 runs. When Shakib was out off the ball of Gunaratne in the 38th over, Mahmudullah joined Mushfiqur and the partnership added 50 off 44 balls.

However, it was the cameo of Sabbir Rahman which ensured Bangladesh’s imposing total of 320. Sabbir hit 24 off 12 balls with the help of three fours and a six.

Thisara Perera was the most successful bowler of Sri Lanka picking up three wickets while Nuwan Pradeep took two, and Akila Dananjaya and Asela Gunaratne took one wicket each.
