Opener Kusal Mendis hit his second fifty in as many games while Danushka Gunathilaka's bat also sparked as Sri Lanka posted 210 for 4 in the second and final T20 against Bangladesh on Sunday.

The duo made 98 in the first wicket to set the perfect platform for the next batsmen to record a big total.

Kusal's blistering 70 came off just 42 balls, thanks to six fours and three sixes, but Gunathilaka failed to make it a fifty despite starting very brightly. The stand was broken when he gave a catch to Tamim Iqbal off a Soumya Sarkar delivery. His 42 off 37 balls featured three fours and two sixes.

Besides the duo, three quickfire innings from Thisara Perera (31 off 17), Upul Tharanga (25 off 13) and Dasun Shanaka (30 off 11) took the Lions past 200.

Winning the toss at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Tigers skipper Mahmudullah had decided to chase this time after losing the first T20 despite making 193 batting first.

Opener Tamim Iqbal returned for the Tigers in the game while the hosts called back allrounder Mahedi Hasan and handed Abu Jayed a debut.

The visitors made just one change, left-arm spinner Amila Aponso came in for N Dickwella.
