15 get Bangla Academy award
Fifteen people have been awarded the Bangla Academy-2021 award for their outstanding contribution in different spheres of literature. Bangla Academy announced the names of the awardees on Sunday in a press release.
The awardees are Asad Mannan and Bimal Guha in poetry, Jharna Rahman and Bishwajit Chowdhury in literature, Hosenuddin Hossain in essay/research, Aminur Rahman and Rafiq-um-Munir Chowhdhury in translation, Sadhana Ahmed in drama, Rafiqur Rashid in children's literature, Panna Kaiser in liberation war related research, Harun–ur-Rashid in Bangabandhu related research, Shubhagata Chowdhury in science fiction/environmental science, Sufia Khatun, Haider Akbar Khan Rono in autobiography/travelogue and Aminur Rahman Sultan in folklore.
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the award to them in the inauguration ceremony of Amar Ekushey Boi Mela 2022.
