A total of 1,933 medical teams are working to ensure health services during cyclone Amphan, the health media cell said Wednesday, reports UNB.
Md Habibur Rahman Khan, additional secretary (administration division) of health service department and convener of media cell opened by health ministry, came up with the information at a press briefing.
He said there are 1,212 health teams in Chattogram, 303 in Khulna and 418 in Barishal.
These teams will provide emergency health care, including the provision of medicine to the 1.4 to 2 million people who have taken shelter in the cyclone centres.
