2 girls drown in Brahmanbaria

Two minor girls drowned in a pond at Boro Bakail village in Sadar upazila of Brahmanbaria on Wednesday, reports UNB.

The deceased are Madhu Begum, 7, daughter of Mafiz Mia and Eti Akter, 8, daughter of Golap Mia of the village.

Quoting family sources, police said Madhu and Eti slipped into a pond near their house while playing there in the afternoon and went missing, reports UNB.

Getting no whereabouts of the girls, locals found the bodies floating on the pond later in the day.
